Susan is a founder and Managing Partner at Haywood Search LLC, and serves a broad range of national and global clients. Prior to founding Haywood Search LLC, Susan was a Managing Director with Horton International, a global executive search firm, and she began her executive recruiting career at Diversified Search as a Managing Director in their Boston office.

Before joining search, Susan was the VP of Human Resources at National Grange Mutual, a $400MM Property and Casualty Insurance Company, where she led the efforts to recruit in a new executive team. Prior to this Susan was a Director of Human Resources with AlliedSignal, a $15 billion, advanced technology and manufacturing company. In this role she was the Human Resources executive supporting the Chief Technology Officer. Prior to this corporate role, Susan was the Director of Human Resources at the sector level, supporting the IT, Finance and Supply Chain Vice Presidents. Susan's first human resources role was with a $6 billion public company where she was the Manager of Organizational Development.

Preceding her successful career in the corporate sector, Susan was a partner with Strategies, Inc., an organizational development and training consulting firm. She also worked for a number of years as a Clinical Psychologist in residential treatment programs for adolescents, and had a private practice in New York City.

Susan's commitment to passing on a healthy environment to the next generation and to issues of sustainable and fair business practices are strongly integrated with her work. She has a BS from Lycoming College and an MS from the New School for Social Research, and resides in New Hampshire with her husband and son. Susan is also a Board Member for Land For Good - a non-profit organization committed to keeping New England's working land working.


Carrie is a founder and Managing Partner at Haywood Search LLC.

Prior to joining the search world, Carrie spent 20 years helping to grow Virgin Atlantic Airways from a one aircraft operation to the international carrier that it is today. She founded and then grew both the Customer Relations and Training & Development functions at Virgin, and championed numerous initiatives to exceed expectations of customers and employees alike. While helping build the Virgin Brand, Carrie was also active in the global airline community, serving as Chairman of the Worldwide Airline Customer Relations Association.

Learning from the master of entrepreneurs, Sir Richard Branson, Carrie loves business challenges, and she brings her career-long passion for people and service excellence to her work in executive recruiting. Having lived in rural Bangladesh as a child, and been inspired by Richard's environmental leadership, Carrie believes that strong business results can be successfully combined with social and environmental responsibility.

A native of the UK, after obtaining a BS in Social Sciences from the University of Leicester, England, Carrie came to the US and now lives in New York City with her husband and two sons. She is committed to urban cycling as a method of transportation and when outside of the city, enjoys wilderness hiking and backpacking.


Geoff is a Managing Director at Haywood Search, LLC.

Before joining Haywood Search, Geoff worked for the state of New Hampshire consulting with area business leaders (Owners/Directors/C-Level) regarding recruiting needs, workforce training and development initiatives, access to sources of labor, and demographic, and economic data to help increase competitiveness.

Prior to that, for several years, he successfully managed and trained teams of dedicated Account Managers for PC Connection, Inc. a nationwide, publicly traded, information technology solutions provider.

Geoff knows what it means to strive for excellence as part of a high performing team. Earlier in his career Geoff enjoyed a professional career as a singer with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, performing for eight seasons with the Boston Symphony Orchestra in Boston at Symphony Hall, New York's Carnegie Hall, Washington D.C.'s Kennedy Center and at Tanglewood in the Berkshires. Geoff brings the same intensity, drive, and high expectations for success he experienced with the BSO to his work with our clients.

Geoff earned a BA from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, and a M.Ed. from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. He lives in New Hampshire with his wife and two daughters.
